She is a renowned Catalan art historian. Daughter of Josep Maria Subirachs himself, Judit Subirachs studied art history and earned her doctorate in this same specialty from the University of Barcelona. She worked at the Amatller Institute of Hispanic Art between 1980 and 1983 and was general coordinator of the Centre for Contemporary History of Catalonia between 2001 and 2004, where she served as a civil servant of the Senior Corps of the Government of Catalonia.

Since 2004, she has been the conservator of her father Josep Maria Subirachs‘s work. She also serves as an advisor to the Montserrat Museum.
