Biography

Glòria Bordons is a university professor in the Department of Linguistic and Literary Education at the University of Barcelona. She holds a PhD in Catalan Philology, earned with a thesis on Joan Brossa, and has extensively researched this poet’s work. Her notable publications on Brossa include Introducció a la poesia de Joan Brossa (1988); contributions to the catalogue Joan Brossa o la revolta poètica for the Miró Foundation in 2001; the anthology A partir del silenci (2001); the coordination of the book Aprendre amb Joan Brossa (2003); the preparation and execution of various Joan Brossa exhibitions and their corresponding catalogues; the editing of the book Carrer de Joan Ponç (2010), Joan Brossa: Prosa completa i textos esparsos (2013) Joan Brossa: Poemes visuals (2014) or Joan Brossa: catálogo razonado de poesia visual 1941-1970 (2019); and dozens of articles in specialized journals on various aspects of his work. Furthermore, she has directed the Joan Brossa archive, coordinates various Brossian editions (such as the re-edition of his complete scenic poetry or complete poetry), and is currently the Vice President of Studies at the Joan Brossa Foundation.
