Joan-Pere Viladecans
Save My Gaze
Presentation
Save My Gaze is a bibliophile edition by Enciclopèdia Art, bringing together the poetry of Miquel Martí i Pol with the artistic creation of Joan-Pere Viladecans.
The extensive selection, gathered in 5 folders, reviews the trajectory of the poet from Roda de Ter, with his most significant poems, as well as his vital and human journey, especially marked by his social origin, his immediate environment, and the illness that conditioned his life since 1970.
This anthology, selected and presented by Àlex Broch, has inspired Joan Pere Viladecans to create 17 works reproduced in triptych format, an original engraving, and 6 endpapers for each of the folders.
The selection of poems allows one to follow the biographical evolution of Martí i Pol and showcases the essential aspects of this biography, such as his commitment to his social class, the effects and overcoming of his illness, his openness to the world, his commitment to Catalonia, and a final assessment of his life.
