The book National Art Museum of Catalonia · From Taüll to Tàpies is a large-format and profusely illustrated work that showcases and explains the most outstanding works of Catalonia’s most important art museum.
It is structured according to the traditional classification -Romanesque Art, Gothic Art, Renaissance and Baroque, and Modern Art- but also takes into account the new exhibition narrative that the MNAC has been applying for several years, which presents the interpretation of the different collections through thematic blocks.
The work is presented in a lined cardboard case with fabric which, when opened, acts as a display stand. It has been edited and produced jointly by the team of the National Art Museum of Catalonia and compiles up to 1,000 years of Catalan and universal art, becoming the most exhaustive book ever dedicated to the MNAC.
It offers a current and renewed vision of the world’s most important collection of Catalan art, with more than 200 art masterpieces, magnificently reproduced and commented on by the National Museum’s specialists.
